“I can resist anything except temptation” - Oscar Wilde.
True to that. There is nothing worse than having a chocolate craving that can’t be satisfied. 3 INCH SIN specialises in molten chocolate cakes which are freshly baked every day with high quality Valrhona chocolate.
I was invited to newly opened 3 INCH SIN at Millenia Walk on 15 December 2011 to taste their products. 3 INCH SIN is also available at Bukit Timah Road.

I was offered lots of 3” molten cakes, including the best-selling Original, Bitter Orange, Hazelnut, Peanut Butter. And other flavours like Lemon, Mint, and 3” premium molten cake which contains alcohol, such as the Cherries Jubilee and the newly introduced Baileys.
3 INCH SIN’s signature molten cakes are different from lava cakes. I was surprised when I sink my spoon in as it is more dense and less flowy. Perfect for a date as it is less messy compared the the traditional lava cake which “erupts” upon touch. Girls can keep calm and stay glam while indulging in their favourite desserts.
I am constantly on the lookout for novelty so my taste bud deviates from the mass market. I heard from one of the owner, Kevin, that their top sellers are original and peanut butter but my favourites were the lemon and mint!
Both the lemon and mint were refreshing and not overpowering. 3 INCH SIN did a great job with their recipes! I could taste the Irish cream in the 3” premium molten cake Baileys despite the faded alcohol taste due to the baking process.

The Rrrroyal Choc Cake (above) features different textures with two soft chocolate sponges sandwiched between a crispy praline middle and bitter sweet chocolate mousse. Kevin also mentioned that the Rrrroyal Choc Cake is one of the earliest product and it is still popular till today.

A scoop of ice cream went well with the cakes. My favourite was the Salted Caramel (above) as it was not overpowering. It is not too sweet and slightly salted - very versatile with all the 3” molten cake flavours! 3 INCH SIN also offers French Vanilla, Macadamia Nuts and flavour of the month ice cream.
I think 3 INCH SIN is a good place to chill out with friends as they offer quality chocolate at affordable prices. A delightful 3” molten cake cost $6.50 each.
Do check out 3 INCH SIN’s Christmas promotion here.
Thank you 3 INCH SIN for the guilty pleasures!

Here’s what we ate at the gala dinner!

My sorbet melted because…
I was busy snapping away.

After party at Zouk. Danza Kuduro!

Look at the crowd! The bloggers burned both nights - first night at Zouk, second night at G Tower. Do we even sleep?
Spent 3D2N at Putrajaya Marriott.
Nice view from my room!
I’m going to die from clogged arteries due to high level of cholesterol in my blood! I had three types of eggs for breakfast - omlette, scrambled and overeasy.
I will upload more photos when I get hold of them. All photos above are mine unless otherwise stated.
Met up with Miss Universe Singapore 2011 team on 11 December 2011 for an early Christmas gathering! A pity we haven’t seen the full strength in a long while due to other commitments but I’m really thankful they came into my life!

Empire State is famous for their ribs! I had half slab BBQ ribs! It was good!

Guilty pleasure! Aren’t you glad I didn’t twitpic this?
I’m lazy to show you all the gifts but here’s a sneak peek of what I gave:
And what I got:
Just what I needed - a mascara!
Homemade gifts can never go wrong!
I can’t wait to see them again!

Aquanova opened its doors on 09 December 2011. Strategically situated at Clarke Quay (where Clinic used to be), Aquanova is a competitive restaurant bar serving contemporary Asian cuisine. The stage for live band is huge for a bar.
I was taken aback by the number of servers (5 on each side) and alcoholic drinks who greeted me at the door.
The pudding was good! I had 2.

Went for the SMRT Makan Session with Ladyironchef on 26 November 2011 with thanks to Nuffnang and SMRT.
The “ok” sign actually meant “circle line”. LOL.
We walked a short distance to Swiss Butchery from Botanic Garden MRT.
With Ladyironchef, Brad.

Chicken
Fish!
Portobello mushroom beef burger!
Take a look at the generous portobello mushroom, cheese and bacon serving!

There was a Q&A session regarding SMRT circle line after the makan session. I looked up and realised everyone was looking at our table because… we were the last to complete. LOL but we got all the answers right!
Fastest fingers first. Congrats to the winners who took home a Churp Churp soft toy/SMRT guide book.
We were served with so much food and a goodie bag from SMRT.
Thank you Nuffnang for the great makan session!
Oh, and you can choose to purchase meats from the Swiss Butchery too.
Went on a Journey of Indulgence on 24 November 2011 with thanks to Christina and Waddup Events.
The cookies and chocolate was so good this glutton had 2.

Please do not try this unless you have a stable hand like me. Nobody wants a champagne shower!
They served Haagen Dazs ice cream, Piper Heidsieck champagne, Valrhona chocolate, Evian water and Pepsi on the open air tour bus! What more can I ask for?

Gorgeous lighting in town!

Some photos from brunch at The Eastern Restaurant (Centrepoint) on 19 Nov 2011.

I had mere 5 hours sleep but food is my motivation! Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Food galore begins now!

They have the BEST custard flowing bun (mixed with salted egg). It was sooooo good!
Many raved about the spicy wanton.
Xiao long bao!
I love the pork belly (东坡肉)!! I secretly want them all for myself! I ate a lot tons of 东坡肉 during my 5 weeks stay in China last year.
4 guys had Yang Zhou fried rice. It must be good!
Zha jiang mian!
Wanton la mian
Most photos with courtesy to William (the happy guy above). Thank you so much for the food and photos!

I swapped with Jeremy because he thought dan dan mian was dan (it simply means “taste light” in Chinese). A pity he is allergic to peanuts. The dan dan mian was yummy! I love spicy food.

Go like their Facebook Page to enjoy a 5% discount this November!

I want to express my love for the flowing custard bun once again. It was so damn good! 好正!LOL.
5 November 2011:
Had dinner with Miss Universe Singapore (MUS) team at Table at 7. It wasn’t easy to reserve a table for 16 pax but Hayden was awesome!
MUS 1987 joined us for dinner and I am totally embarrassed. She is a mother of 2 but her figure is way better than mine. I didn’t take a picture with her last night but here’s one we took in July at Zirca.

From left, MUS 1987, MUS 2011, MUS 2002 and me. The other queens keep themselves in good shape too.

With trainer Ida, and two MUS 2011 finalists Nicole and Audrey.

I had beef cheeks (above) which looks like a brownie. Interesting texture with minced beef.

Best bread pudding ever!

Table at 7 serves great food and wine but they cost a bomb. The crispy almond and apple crumble tart (above) cost me $15. I have to admit it was heavenly though.
We initially wanted to go to Holland V’s 2am dessert bar but it was full so we went to Coffee Bean for frozen yoghurt instead.
I’m damn blessed to be part of the MUS team. I love the people and a simple “thank you” is not enough to express my gratitude for everything they have given me - grooming, advices and friends for life. I sometimes wonder why I am so lucky.
Will I join another pageant? I have no idea. MUS 2011 is my first pageant and I realise I have a whole lot to learn. It is not as simple as it seems. Meanwhile, let me continue to count my blessings.
